Legal Notice

Effective Date of Latest Version: October 7, 2026

Ownership of Rights

Unless otherwise stated by Shopify, all rights (including copyright, trademark rights, patent rights, trade secrets, and other related rights) regarding all official products, technologies, software, programs, data, and other information launched by Shopify (including text, icons, images, photographs, audio, video, charts, color combinations, layout designs, etc.) belong to Shopify and/or its affiliates. Any unauthorized use of the aforementioned content and information by any person without the prior permission of Shopify and/or its affiliates may infringe upon the rights of Shopify and/or its affiliates, and we will hold infringers legally liable. If you have any need for use, such as for promotion or display, you must obtain prior permission from Shopify and/or its affiliates.

Information Management

To maintain the normal operational order and efficiency of Shopify, no person may—without the permission of the Shopify service provider and/or its affiliates—personally, or by authorizing or assisting a third party to—conduct scanning and/or detection (such as address scanning, network port scanning, or operating system detection) on Shopify and its systems, or engage in monitoring, copying, uploading, displaying, or mirroring via means including bots, crawlers, automated programs, or devices...

Access Rules

Shopify is committed to enhancing the user service experience in a compliant, secure, and trustworthy manner. To safeguard transaction and data security on Shopify and to maintain normal operational order and the legitimate rights and interests of relevant parties, no third-party agent or automated program may access, call, or operate Shopify-related products and services (including but not limited to account login and management; claiming and using offers; searching, browsing, or retrieving information on products or services; placing orders, making payments, and leaving reviews; after-sales service and rights protection; and operations related to store opening and management) without the prior, express written permission of the Shopify service provider and/or its affiliates and the completion of necessary security and compliance assessments. No third-party agent or automated program may conceal or disguise its identity or authorization status. When security verification mechanisms—such as CAPTCHAs or human-machine recognition tests—are triggered, such agents or programs must respond and cooperate truthfully; they must not circumvent or breach these verification mechanisms or security measures through methods such as bypassing or hacking. In the event of any disregard for or violation of the foregoing requirements, we reserve the right to implement necessary technical restrictions and risk-handling measures in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, platform agreements, and rules. We also reserve the right to hold the relevant parties liable and claim compensation for damages as permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

Given that the information publishing services provided by Shopify are akin to an electronic bulletin board (BBS), information regarding third-party stores and products on Shopify (including, but not limited to, store names, company names, contact persons and details, product descriptions and specifications, images, videos, etc.) is provided and uploaded by users themselves; users bear the corresponding legal liability for the information they provide and upload. Where the service provider makes alternative arrangements regarding this matter, such arrangements will be explicitly stated in the relevant agreements or other legal documents.

Works reposted by Shopify (including forum content) are shared for the purpose of disseminating information; such reposting does not imply our endorsement of the views expressed therein or our verification of the content's authenticity. Any entity or individual who discovers that the aforementioned works contain false information or allegedly infringe upon their legitimate rights and interests may submit feedback or complaints to us via Shopify’s designated channels. Upon receipt of such feedback or complaints, we will promptly verify the matter and handle it in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules.

Intellectual Property Protection

We respect intellectual property rights and oppose and combat any infringement thereof. If an intellectual property rights holder believes that content on Shopify (including, but not limited to, product information posted by Shopify users) infringes upon their legitimate rights and interests, they may file a complaint via Shopify’s intellectual property protection platform. Upon receipt of a valid notice from the rights holder, we will promptly address the matter in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and platform rules.
